Futures volume not commensurate. Still, we're trying to break good volume support from Wednesday at 84350ish. Bulls don't want to see that go, I think.

Considering that the April 2nd day of strength had 2.778 billion shares, it would need to sustain this early heavy volume to bust through it. Question: would you regard volume higher than Friday's 2.4 billion as "volume off the top", even if it's equal to or less than April 2nd? I suppose that also depends on whether COMPQ makes it to the high of April 2nd, but nonetheless, what would be considered "volume off the top" for you? TIA
Current Positions: Long EEV @ 40.29, Long DUG @ 24.66, Long DXD @ 59.62, Long SDS @ 72.70, Long TWM @ 61.84, Long QID @ 48.21, Long FXP @ 20.43, Long SSG @ 43.76, Short XOM @ 69.31, Short AAPL @ 117.52

Todays Nasdaq Forecast:

In the last hour (Friday) we printed a "volume off the top" hourly candle, under the high of the day on stronger volume, and over the previous day's hourly high volume high candle on lighter volume in the last hour... and we did "give it up" - closing at the candle low, as well as back inside the previous day's high volume hourly candle...

Short term that is a sign of weakness, now whether or not that works into a longer term weakness will be determined in the next few sessions.

Wierd open...almost looks like profit takers and bears HAVE to act right now. Lot's of emotion. Possible target 804 but the nature of the selling tells me too many are convinced we are going down again.

84100-ish and 83700-ish are the next support levels unless we turn right here. Must be Monday.

They just want to make sure not many shorts have a chance to get in at the highs. This may be a fast move down to do the re-test.
