GREENHOUSE WARMING NATIONS MAY VANISH, U.N. SAYS
A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of "eco-refugees," threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the United Nations U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP. He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the...

Ehrlich is past winner of the MacArthur Foundation "genius" grant

Paul Ehrlich’s own words testify to his merit for his recognition by us today:

“The battle to feed all of humanity is over ... hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death.” (1968)
“By 1985 enough millions will have died to reduce the earth’s population to some acceptable level, like 1.5 billion people.” (1969)
“By 1980 the United States would see its life expectancy drop to 42 because of pesticides, and by 1999 its population would drop to 22.6 million.” (1969)
“Smog disasters” in 1973 might kill 200,000 people in New York and Los Angeles. (1969)
“I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.” (1969)
“In ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish.” (1970)
“Actually, the problem in the world is that there is much too many rich people...” (1990)
“Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.” (1992)

A founder of Zero Population Growth, Ehrlich the Environmentalist advocated “compulsory birth regulation (through) the addition of temporary sterilants to water supplies or staple food. Doses of the antidote would be carefully rationed by the government to produce the desired family size.”

Prince Charles hits back!!
:cry2: :cry2:

Arrives in a coal-powered train!!

Prince Charles dismissed critics of climate change science yesterday.

He said evidence of long-term and potentially-irreversible effects was utterly overwhelming, adding: 'This isn't an opinion - it is a fact.'

Charles travelled to Manchester from Preston, and back to Crewe, on a royal train pulled by the Tornado - a steam engine built two years ago from a 1948 design.

The engine generates around 90 times more carbon dioxide per mile than a typical family car.

Best Superbowl commercial.
Unfortunately, most viewers have no idea how dangerously close we are to this.

Eco-zealots actually believe that fear-mongering works for them

IF you were looking for ways to increase public skepticism about global warming, you could hardly do better than the forthcoming nine-part series on climate change and natural disasters, starting this Sunday on Showtime. A trailer for “Years of Living Dangerously” is terrifying, replete with images of melting glaciers, raging wildfires and rampaging floods.

Al Gore’s 2006 documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth,” popularized the idea that today’s natural disasters are increasing in severity and frequency because of human-caused global warming. It also contributed to public backlash and division. Since 2006, the number of Americans telling Gallup that the media was exaggerating global warming grew to 42 percent today from about 34 percent.

Chilean Volcano Snubs Nose at Earth Day

In flagrant disregard for humanity’s attempts to clean up air pollution, the Chilean volcano Calbuco erupted violently on Earth Day 2015, pumping millions of tons of hazardous materials into the pristine South American atmosphere.

in a searing indictment on capitalist society

This has always been a political movement.

No coincidence that Earth Day is a celebration of Lenin’s birthday.

Nikita Khrushchev, Soviet Premier after Joseph Stalin, decided in 1955 that the country should celebrate their national political philosophy, communism. He chose as the day, April 22, Vladimir Lenin’s birthday.
When environmentalists decided that the Earth deserved a day of celebration in 1970, they chose Lenin’s birthday, just as Khrushchev had done.
Lenin once said that, “It is true that liberty is precious; so precious that it must be carefully rationed.” Environmentalists second this wholeheartedly when they restrict the ownership and control of private property through the guise of saving the environment.
