I hate to add too many agrees because that is usually bad but I have to say if we close over 1200 that is probably it. As a friend reminded me, that has been a tough line to get across and when tough lines get crossed it is meaningful. Another thing is the small cap relative strength through out this entire consolidation, has bugged me. I thought we would follow europe but I have to reverse that view when the technicals tell me to. Also, if we close with this gap intact it will be a gap over trendline resistance and the 20ema. Gaps over resistance on volume that surprise are usually breakaways. So all of this has tons of caveats based on how we close. I am flat for now.
IYB thanks for sharing this here.

Hello D,
Sorry I couldn't access your new rules. Just curious what you found comparing the old rules vs your new ones. What was lacking that you changed them?

Here, again, is the NYMO chart that we use for the 28-trading day confirming rule. {The chart above only ran to 2-1-11}

Don,
Would you please state the rule again I know you've posted it before, but I can't find it in my searches. I'm confused by the 48 day spans in your chart.
Thanks,
Tim
