I trying to make the system better. He's good. He just needs to get better. Problem is he's locked in his thought pattern. It's fine with me, but he can do better. Strangely, NAV himself has provided the blueprint for what I suggest but he seems unwillingly to follow this path.

Just read this one. You are hilarious

Thanks, i am very open minded to ideas. I have a learn't a lot from many folks here. I have also shared and taught many people here over the years. Unfortunately, i have now stopped searching for the holy grail. Otherwise i would have given you an opportunity to mentor me.

On a serious note, instead of just waxing bullsh^t, how about posting some real-time trades with stop or making real-time calls. Until then, resist your urge to give lectures. Bye bye.

All we got was a bounce, nothing more can be determined yet. I would want to see a dip here, then afterwards if yesterdays highs can be taken out then I would view that as a buy. This might be an IT bottom, it also could be 300 SPX points away from one.

Voeklen, as far as I am concerned, you have zero authority to criticize the professional traders... Let your own track record speak for itself. The markets have a fair amount of irrationality that make them random to some extent and those who make conclusions must filter out that irrationalilty and sometimes you will act slower and must manage your risk instead. You have to be able to fade the fast counter trend moves and follow the trend. But what is the trend and where will a counter trend move end??? If you stick around here long enough or read the archives, you will see that their wisdom is not driven by criticizing others, but rather their own market experiences about what makes a trend and a counter trend. The people who post here are not here to teach you anything for free, they just share their views. I know, what a novel concept that people keep missing! Isn't it?

NAV, don't take all this badly. Your success in indisputable. I actually think (in a perverted way) that Voeklen's strange attitude is a compliment to you. It smacks of extreme envy and resentment and frustration on his part. Try to stay above it and have the last laugh.

voeklen,

Dr Wu said it - I havent the foggiest what you are up about. people here are to learn teach share (trade ideas not person opinions) and get a little comeraderie. No flames, its in the TOS.

I think this is tricky market here, and NAV is a trend follower I believe, so he is totally consistent and right on. tinkering and making things better is good, but attempting perfection, is a very bad idea see this from Glen Larson:

How about an atta boy for NAV and how about you strut your TA/market stuff so we can all get some ideas from you?
best,
klh

DrWu, Good suggestion. I'll take a break, perhaps for good. I was actually trying to be a bit controversial. The idiot thing, though, kind of just happened. Like when you say something and would like to eat your words but can't. Dasein, appreciate the link. I'll consider what he has to say. My intention, though, is not perfection but improvement.

Agree with the last 4 posts and of course, NAV. Great to see you in sync with the market NAV. These 4-5 day fast moving straight line up and back down moves play right into your method and style with a minimum of whipsaw. Enjoy it, it doesn't come around that often! I know you don't use indicators, but right now you could put a 10ema on the hourly or a 20ema on the 30min chart closing price only and do quite well! Doc

Actually my current method is market condition neutral.

That does mean, i will do well in any kind of markets. Tight range markets can cause a lot of problems as i follow the price. But as long as it's a wide range consolidation or trending market, i will do well.

From my last post

We are in a selling climax now...It's impossible to say where it will end. But when it ends, it will be unmistakable - a brutal reversal.

And there you go. We got that brutal reversal.

Now whether it will hold or whether it was a IT bottom or Secular bottom or cyclical bottom or a low volume dead cat bounce or a flaccid move unsupported by internals or Fed manipulation (as is associated with every upmoves  ) , i will leave to others to comment on.

I still do not have a buy signal. I will post, if i get one tommorow.

I am sorry Nav, but I don't understand what you mean you don't have a buy signal. What time frame are you trading, a monthly signal?
