I'm going to try turning off shockwave flash, if it messes up other functions
I'll go back.

That's it. There's supposed to be a cap on such ads. I'm blocking Lexus and HP. PM me with any further problems.

I have an email out to account rep too. One, two a day, we can take, but this is BS.

I might add that I'm not seeing them. Maybe they know I'm a BMW guy...or maybe that I'm an OLD BMW guy, I dunno, but had I seen these, I'd have killed them after a very short duration.

By the time you read this, the flight should be landed.

Well, I clicked on this thread to see what CLK had to say, and I got
this ad - it is the fourth time - count 'em, 1-2-3-4, that I have gotten
an ad on this thread alone today. I know I can change browsers, get
blocking software, install firewalls, etc., etc. And let those mo-fos win?
Never!

I've had pop-ups "blocked forever" but the advintruders have found a way around it somehow. On Firefox, going by what I've read here, the offender seems to vary. For me the culprit seems to be tribalfusion.com which brings up a pop-up for "Another Winning Trade." Before I took action on my own to block the site, clicking the close box would often render the subsequent view center-justified.

Here's a link extracted from the pop-up:
http://a.tribalfusio...193206/pop.html
When you access it this way it doesn't come up as a pop-up, but you can see the boundaries.

After enduring with patience I finally took some action. In Firefox > Tools > Options....

Because your offender may not be the same as my offender, I showed the name of the site to be blocked for cookies in a generic way. This worked for me. The ad still comes up, but not being able to store the cookie seems to have eliminated the center-justification... so far. Hope it works for you. -- Alton

Irish Spring has now join the crowd, it appears , forcing me to watch their spam before I can read a post. Winning friends and influencing people 24/7, oh yea.

No. I am using IE. Why must I change browsers to avoid seeing this crap, which is obviously condoned by management?

I might add that no other site on the internets that I visit throws such intrusive rudeness in you face.

I hear ya. This "new ad" holds you hostage. First Lexus now Irish Spring, for a lad a little rough.. Yeah I need to buy that...lol
People leave in droves when they have to put up with this kinda crap. Just like what happened to MySpace when bought by main media.
Could also happen to Facebook or Traderstalk as they try to show profits. They just implode as people go away to the next thing with no or little ad intrusion.

As I said, if you see any more, let me know via PM. No pms, so only now am I seeing this. :/

I used to have caps on pops and still do. These "interstitials" don't seem to have any caps on them. Sure, they pay more, but not that much. Let me know when we run into more of these. And, btw, once a day isn't a lot to ask. any more than 2 however, and I'm not happy at all with it. Remember, too, I don't see everything you see. The ads are geo targetted. I'm running Chrome right now and haven't seen ANY of the problem ads.

"Irish spring, bad enough to honk-off Select, and *I* don't like 'em too!"

I don't know but I would venture to guess that ISPs filter and stream some of the ad traffic. Isn't that true? I am just saying because I don't have a configured ad blocker, I don't do anything - why don't I see any ads? I work on this website at 5 different locations.
