Be very careful. The futures are gappy and unstable and we could see some very wild swings here. It looks like the operators are going to try to gap under support in hopes of washing this out this morning. This price behavior is unmistakeable, and this JITTER MODE can last for days and weeks ahead before the tape finally calms down.

Be very careful

Yup, lots of unexpected technical internal breakdowns too place yesterday usually leads to "something wicked this way comes".

This should pass by Wednesday of next week.

Until then...

Trading Experience... it can be as short as August 2011 or as long as Sept - Nov 2008.

This is what I'm thinking regarding Euro. I have no short term target for SPX, but I'll start reducing positions as we go lower. I think we'll return to the 200 DMA at some point on the bounce and retest it. Though its anyone's guess how low it goes before that.
One thing for sure.. Euro ( and Europe ) is a gigantic drag here.

I have a very educated guess where it is going, and "average" prices are fine for reference but they don't identify buyers and sellers, stops, covering and entry points. There are lots of averaging schemes, including E-wave, trend lines etc., but we only use them for reference. B)

"Crash like" events have very small windows of opportunity...usually about 3-4 trading days after a triggered event.

Just as a reminder... The volatility causes erratic moves in BOTH directions. You have the Washington Heads on the TV this morning and we could see what looks like a miracle rally fade into another huge decline that wipes out the previous lows. So, if you are a TRADER, meaning short term. You need balls of steel and iron-clad stops to trade this market. Stay ahead of the airplane or crash and burn.
