My generation grew up with guns everywhere; kids in the Scouts would even take their guns to the school Gun Club.
We didn't see one massacre after another.
So you tell me:
what's different now?
Could it be the removal of fear of a Higher Power that must be answered to?
Could it possibly be the culture of violence where, since the late 1960's murder is glorified in entertainment and now graphic video games?
Harvey Weinstein, Quentin Tarantino, et al, sure make graphic, wanton murder look fun.
How are some children affected by a steady diet of Chainsaw Massacre, Kill Bill, Halloween, Reservior Dogs, Grindhouse, Pulp Fiction?
We will never ban such movies but we will praise and worship these movie makers and give them awards for their genius
AS SCHOOL CHILDREN IMITATE THE BLOODY SCENES.
So is it really the same guns that didn't cause these problems until this generation? Try to think.
30 most violent movies ENJOY!
The Wild Bunch (1969)
The Violence: Just watch the bullets fly during the film’s infamously bloody finale, when the eponymous bunch bring down swathes of Mexican soldiers
– and barely even blink an eye. (That sounds familiar)
Natural Born Killers (1994)
The Movie: Oliver Stone’s divisive satire following husband-and-wife team Mickey Knox (Woody Harrelson) and Mallory (Juliette Lewis).
They’re turned into stars by the media as their thrill-seeking ways – they like to kill people – become an international sensation.
(In the movie script and real life.)
The Violence: Sexual assault, bottles in faces, mass murder – Natural Born Killers really lives up to its title. Its shocking opening is the clincher; Mickey and Mallory play eeny, meeny, miny, moe, burying bullets in the customers of a roadside diner.
Rambo (2008)
The Violence: The last 20 minutes are a blizzard of super-violent activity. Beheadings, bodies torn asunder by a turret, and then – best of all – Sly clawing out a guy’s intestines.
Total Recall (1990)
The Violence: Arnie cuts his way through 77 people in the movie, which is surely some sort of movie death record.
Saw VI (2009)
The Violence: “This movie is a lot more violent than the previous five”
Jason X (2001)
The Violence: Jason deadens a total of 25 people, easily trumping every other Friday The 13th movie
