Cooking Prime Grade Prime Rib Roast and Lobster Tails for Christmas Eve dinner...

It's been a very good year!

:)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours...

Hey I am cooking the same roast...and I am not a cook...so following recipe.
It says 15 minutes at 450 F, then 2-3 hours at 325 F. It also says do not salt
outside because it will dry out the meat. OK to rub garlic and other herbs etc.
Hoping this works!!

And please watch your health in 2013 because it is the most important!
Best wishes to all!

Here's a good recipe, I use it for reference.

Emeril has a few ideas, I pretty much just make an au jus.

I make up my own rub custom spices.

A very Merry Christmas to all FF's (lurkers as well)..... thanks for another year of great market analysis, trading ideas and related thoughts! Thanks, especially, Mark for all you do- as well as to all of those who volunteer their time to make this board keep on ticking. We survived the Mayan Apocalypse together; next we'll make it through "the Cliff". ;) Happy and prosperous 2013, D :) .

D, technically Mayan Calendar did not end, it simply began a new count. Mayan Calendar can even be across the ice ages... But the main purpose of the calendar was to settle the debt and it was ironic that US could not settle the budget on that day...

I honestly looked into their calendar to understand why their exponential growth model basically grew with the cycles of mainly multiples of 20... To me the start and end dates are less relevant... Basically a decimal system makes sense and the resonance is the most powerful when it grows with the multiples of 2, so 2 x 10 = 20x...

But is it relevant in any way to the real world and economies or just a numbering scheme or meaningless numerology? They built an entire civilization on their counting scheme and their demise happened partially due to their deforestation (which caused more severe droughts)...

http://mayan-calenda..._longcount.html

My cycle model allows variations, so any configuration that explain these variations is a subject of great interest to me...

So much for Christmas Day, huh!?!

Merry Christmas!
