Sheriff: Don't wait for police, arm yourselves!

Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. has called on residents to arm themselves against criminals.

"You have a duty to protect yourself and your family."

Protecting against tyrany can be tyrannical.

Remember the French revolution?

Citizens overthrew the tyrannical monarchy and then started executing more and more "counter" revolutonaries etc.

For those who remember the Vietnam protests, "Fighting for peace is like copulating for chastity". Cleaned that up a bit.

For that reason I was appalled in Libya recently when they killed Gaddafi. If you start a new nation with violence then it is doomed.

Delay said the store had experienced a few robberies, including in 2004, when two employees were shot in the legs by a pair of armed men.
He said store employees are not prohibited from keeping weapons in the store to use as protection in the event of a robbery attempt.

Two surviving accomplices were arrested, and charged with previous robberies and felony murders.
