How Hope and Change Gave Way to Spying on the Press

First they came for Fox News, and they did not speak out—because they were not Fox News. Then they came for government whistleblowers, and they did not speak out—because they were not government whistleblowers. Then they came for the maker of a YouTube video, and—okay, we know how this story ends.

Now, the Democratic advocacy group Media Matters—which is always mysteriously in sync with the administration despite ostensibly operating independently—has launched a smear campaign against ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl for his reporting on Benghazi. It’s the kind of character assassination that would make Joseph McCarthy blush.

The main page of the Media Matters website has six stories attacking Karl for a single mistake in an otherwise correct report about the State Department's myriad changes to talking points they previously claimed to have barely touched. See, the problem isn’t the repeated obfuscating from the administration about the Benghazi attack; the problem is Jonathan Karl. Hence, the now-familiar campaign of de-legitimization.

This gross media intimidation is courtesy of tax-deductable donations from the Democratic Party’s liberal donor base, which provides a whopping $20 million a year for Media Matters to harass reporters who won’t fall in line.

Last week they said that nothing illegal was done...so why this?

TOP IRS OFFICIAL TO TAKE THE FIFTH!!!

"The Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation, and that the House committee has asked Lerner to explain why Lois Lerner provided “false or misleading information” to the committee four times last year.
According to an inspector general’s report, Lerner found out in June 2011 that some staff in the nonprofits division in Cincinnati had used terms such as “Tea Party” and “Patriots” to select some applications for additional screening of their political activities. She ordered changes.
But neither Lerner nor anyone else at the IRS told Congress, even after repeated queries from several committees, including the House Oversight panel, about whether some groups had been singled out unfairly."

"It's neither Slavery nor Oppression when you approve of it and benefit by it."
Sincerely,
Your Buddy, Vlad Lerner.

After illegally denying hundreds of thousands of citizens their 1st amendment rights, Vlad Lerner now hides behind the fifth amendment.

ISSA TO HAUL LERNER BACK BEFORE COMMITTEE...
'Waived her fifth amendment rights' by giving opening statement...
IRS internal investigation ended 6 months before '12 election, was hidden from Congress...

The question is still unanswered: How much of someone else's life and property do I have a right to?

Greedy Musicians and Actors Preceded Athletes in Fleeing 70 Percent Taxes

It was the Beatles who sang, “There's one for you, nineteen for me” in the song Tax Man in 1966 leading the way for rock stars from the British Invasion to give up their British Citizenship to save millions in taxes.

Don't forget Robin Hood who "stole" from the rich (who got their wealth from oppressive taxation) and gave it back to the oppressed taxpayers.
Don't forget the French revolution.
Eventually even the French had their fill of it.

How much of someone else's life and property do I have a right to?
Please tell me.
I have some catching up to do.

You keep asking "how much of someone's life and property do I have a right to?"

Well for half of America it was "all".

Despite wanting a divorce from Great Britain, half of America wanted to 100% own slaves.

There's your answer.

Dystopia: An imaginary place or state in which the condition of life is extremely bad, as from oppression.
Egalitarianism: A social philosophy advocating the removal of inequalities, only accomplished by making everyone equally miserable.

'Happiness index' plummets for Hispanics, blacks and young in US...
June 1 (UPI) --
Only a third of U.S. adults say they are very happy -- minorities show particularly pronounced declines in the past two years, a U.S. survey indicates.
"While the attitudes on the economy may be improving, we're seeing that this is not translating into an improvement in overall happiness."
