War Criminal?

International law says that nations should seek approval of the Security Council before attacking other nations.

That means if the United States attacks Syria without U.N. approval, President Obama will open himself to the charge from the left of being even more of an international war criminal than George W. Bush, who at least could plausibly claim U.N. Security Council support for the Iraq War.

Pelosi Then, Pelosi Now

THEN, 4/5/2007
We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace,” Pelosi told reporters after her talks with Assad.
"These people in the United States who are opposing dialogue I tell them one thing: Dialogue is ... the only method to close the gap existing between two countries," Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem told reporters after the Assad-Pelosi meeting.

NOW
She said Assad’s use of chemical weapons was “behavior outside the circle of civilized human behavior, and we must respond.”

‘Allahu Akbar’ - John McCain's Appalling Ignorance

McCain (R-AZ) got a bit hot under the collar when a reporter noted that the Syrian rebels whom Barack Obama and McCain want to aid militarily were shouting “Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!” as rockets hit Syrian government offices.

The incensed McCain shot back: “Would you have a problem with an American or Christians saying ‘thank God? Thank God?’ That’s what they’re saying. Come on! Of course they’re Muslims, but they’re moderates and I guarantee you they are moderates.”

Wrong on all counts. In the first place, it does not mean “thank God,” as McCain seems to have affirmed when he said, “That’s what they’re saying.” Allahu akbar means “Allah is greater” – not, as it is often translated, “God is great.” The significance of this is enormous, as it is essentially a proclamation of superiority and supremacism. Allah is greater – than any of the gods of the infidels.

Kerry: Turn Over Your Chemical Weapons Now or Face … “Unbelievably Small” Consequences

Secretary of State John Kerry’s case for a U.S. strike in Syria seems to rest on two assumptions.

One, that it is a crucial test for U.S. national security and the values of the civilized world comparable to the rise of Nazi Germany.

Two, that it’s not really a big deal.

How can you not love Putin's op-ed in the NY Times?

Russian strongman mocks the American liberal ruling class and makes them look like fools.

What was it about Vladimir Putin’s extraordinary op-ed in The New York Times last week that so infuriated the Washington establishment? Oh, how they hated it!

In a word, it is the fact that it was a perfectly accurate mirror. The Washington ruling class and their liberal enablers looked into Putin’s op-ed and they saw a most hideous sight: their own rancid clichés repeated back to them in mocking, church-like tones. “A Plea for Caution From Russia” — how dare he say to us what we have been saying to troglodytic conservatives for decades?

And in our paper, the New York Times. (That was Putin’s final act of genius, to publish his column in the liberals’ own Bible, where his high-horse moralistic tones
would be sure to echo most forcefully.)

The Myth of the Moderate Syrian Rebels

The moderate Syrian rebels, like the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, are a myth; an imaginary character used to tell soothing stories to children. Unfortunately the storytellers think that we’re the children.

The Syrian Civil War is a religious war. It’s not a war over democracy or freedom. It’s a conflict between two totalitarian systems, one loosely based on a mixture of Islam and Socialism, and the other more rigidly based on Islam. Both are brutal and merciless to anyone who doesn’t belong. Both have their death squads and extensive corruption on the inside.

Both are evil.

The Religion of Peace Strikes Again

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam"

Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku also revised the death toll to 62. Kenyan officials earlier said 59 people have died since the siege on Westgate Mall began on Saturday, while the Red Cross had put the toll at 68, then in a tweet lowered it to 62, saying some bodies had been counted twice.

60 Minutes confirms Benghazi is a real scandal, and you’ve been lied to

60 Minutes had an absolutely devastating report on the Obama administration’s failure to protect Ambassador Chris Stevens and other Americans in Benghazi.

The heart of the report is that there were clear and unequivocal warnings which were ignored, and the Obama administration lied about these warnings after the attack.

Hillary and Obama blamed a video and stood by the caskets perpetuating that lie.

60 Minutes said its investigation took almost a year.

Muslims Put Above Terror Suspicion

the Obama administration has decided that Islam is a “race,” and therefore to examine or even to adduce a Muslim’s Islamic beliefs about jihad, beheading, violence against kuffar (“infidels”), or re-establishing a caliphate
is tantamount to racism. This administration behavior is rationalized because “federal authorities have in particular singled out Muslims in counter terrorism investigations and Latinos for immigration investigations.”

It is difficult to express just how willfully ignorant of reality these statements and accompanying policies are.

Per the immigration example: as over 80% of “undocumented aliens” are from Mexico or another Latin American country, it would be foolish, indeed delusionary, to ignore that fact. The same logic applies to directing extra scrutiny towards individuals
who hold a set of beliefs that may predispose them to violence against others not of that belief system.

Boko Haram: Kidnappers, Slave-Owners, Terrorists, Killers

The leader of an African Islamist group recently declared he planned to sell “in the marketplace” nearly 300 young girls his group kidnapped last month in Nigeria, describing the young students now as “slaves.”

“They are slaves and I will sell them because I have the market to sell them,” Shekau said in the Hausa language, according to a translation by The Associated Press. "God has commanded me to sell."
