Shhhh.
It won't make the headlines.
It's not worth mentioning.
But...today Tulsa again was 20 degrees colder than last year at this time.
We are not alone.

1,122 Record Cold Temps in USA -- in one week...

Yes, don't confuse temperature with climate.

All the climate projections due to climate change suggested there would be extremes both ways as well as the climb higher over all.

It is working out EXACTLY as predicted.

Fancy that.

Unprecedented July Cold - Arctic Sees Shortest Summer On Record

As I've stated to some already.....the spiders were spinning their webs
in July this year. Lots earlier than usual, and that's usually in
September. My prognostication is this, it's gonna be a "colder than
usual" winter. Get the sleds ready, we will some some accumulating
snows for Chattanooga,TN.

See the link below for further evidence.

Yep, global warming is undeniable.

I mean global NOT one spot on the globe.

The methane being released in Siberia etc is alarming.

Here is a doco about when the Earth nearly died.

Lots of similarities.

Fifteen years of global cooling. Record Antarctic ice. At what point is the theory busted?

Sun Will Flip Its Magnetic Field Soon...

'Change will have ripple effects throughout solar system'...

Physicists from Stanford University believe the Sun's magnetic fields will flip before the end of the year, reversing their polarity. This will cause an increase in solar energy and could lead to changes in climate and satellite disruption. The reversal happens once every 11 years or so.
In 1859 a solar storm known as the 1859 Solar Superstorm, or Carrington Event after Richard C Carrington who recorded the event, saw numerous solar flares appear all over Earth.

It was so strong that the Northern Lights - a natural light display that appears predominantly in that Arctic and Antarctic regions and is caused by the collision of energetic charged particles in the magnetosphere and solar wind - were said to be have been visible as far south as Rome.

Descendents of the Flat Earth Consensus Society say the Sun has no effect on the Earth's climate.
After all, it's so small and so far away.

I sure miss the good old days when temperature indicated climate change.
Now the below normal temperatures are just weather.

Atlanta breaks a century-old temperature record

Thursday Atlanta's high temperature on Thursday was only 73 degrees which is the coolest high temperature on record for August 15.

The previous record was a high of only 77 degrees from 1908.
Thursday's high followed even cooler temperatures on Friday when Atlanta only hit 67 degrees -- the coolest August high temperature since 1986.

Record cold strikes Alaska...

15°F IN AUGUST?

Bettles recorded a low of 15ºF Saturday morning. This is by far the lowest temperature of record at Bettles in August. The previous record at the Bettles in August was 22ºF on August 30, 1969.

North Pole melting? The true tale of the ice caps.

AP Retracts 'Unusually Warm Period' Claim...
The Associated Press had to retract a photo it released on July 27 with the caption, “The shallow meltwater lake is occurring due to an unusually warm period.”
“In fact, the water accumulates in this way every summer,” AP admitted in a note to editors, adding that the photo was doubly misleading because “the camera used by the North Pole Environment Observatory has drifted hundreds of miles from its original position, which was a few dozen miles from the pole.”

"EXPERT" predictions continue to be disproven by reality.
But gloom and doom predictions are a gold mine for "EXPERTS". Right Al?

Solar activity drops to 100-year low, puzzling scientists...
Sep 18, 2013
"Predictions that 2013 would see an upsurge in solar activity and geomagnetic storms disrupting power grids and communications systems have proved to be a false alarm. Instead, the current peak in the solar cycle is the weakest for a century.
Subdued solar activity has prompted controversial comparisons with the Maunder Minimum, which occurred between 1645 and 1715, when a prolonged absence of sunspots and other indicators of solar activity coincided with the coldest period in the last millennium."

Climate report struggles with temperature quirks

The heating of Earth’s surface appears to have slowed even though greenhouse gas emissions keep rising.

STOCKHOLM — Scientists working on a landmark U.N. report on climate change are struggling over how to address a wrinkle in the meteorological data that has given ammunition to global-warming skeptics: The heating of Earth’s surface appears to have slowed in the past 15 years even though greenhouse gas emissions keep rising.
For years, skeptics have touted what looks like a slowdown in surface warming since 1998 to cast doubt on the scientific consensus that humans are cooking the planet by burning coal, oil and natural gas.
Scientists and statisticians have dismissed the purported slowdown as a statistical mirage, arguing among other things that it reflects random climate fluctuations and an unusually hot year picked as the starting point for charting temperatures. They also say the data suggests the “missing” heat is simply settling — temporarily — in the ocean.
But as scientists study the issue, the notion of a slowdown has gained more mainstream attention, putting pressure on the authors of the new U.N. report to deal with it.
Leaked documents obtained by The Associated Press show there are deep concerns among governments over how to address the slowdown ahead of next week’s meeting of the IPCC.
“I think to not address it would be a problem because then you basically have the denialists saying, ‘Look, the IPCC is silent on this issue,’” said Alden Meyer of the Washington-based advocacy group Union of Concerned Scientists.

The heating of Earth’s surface appears to have slowed even though greenhouse gas emissions keep rising.

STOCKHOLM — Scientists working on a landmark U.N. report on climate change are struggling over how to address a wrinkle in the meteorological data that has given ammunition to global-warming skeptics:

Politicians Are Playing Childish Games to Misinterpret the Results of Scientific Research

Germany called for the references to the slowdown in warming to be deleted, saying looking at a time span of just 10 or 15 years was ‘misleading’ and they should focus on decades or centuries.

Hungary worried the report would provide ammunition for deniers of man-made climate change.

Belgium objected to using 1998 as a starting year for statistics, as it was exceptionally warm and makes the graph look flat - and suggested using 1999 or 2000 instead to give a more upward-pointing curve.

The United States delegation even weighed in, urging the authors of the report to explain away the lack of warming using the ‘leading hypothesis’ among scientists that the lower warming is down to more heat being absorbed by the ocean – which has got hotter.
