Men Who Never Grow Up – The ‘Puer Aeturnus Complex’

Puer Aeturnus is Latin for ‘Eternal Youth’. It is a concept from the psychology of Carl Jung and applies to those men who, even though they’re in their 30’s, 40’s or 50’s have retained the emotional characteristics of an adolescent.

Left-Wing Actor Alec Baldwin Is An Example of An Adult With the Emotional Characteristics of an Adolescent

On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin was removed from the plane for throwing a tantrum.

Report: Alec Baldwin to Host MSNBC Show

Now Alec Baldwin Trashes MSNBC

Bad boy-turned-bellyacher Alec Baldwin threw a 5,000-word, seven-page pity party for himself in the entertainment media he says he abhors. Hey, what better way for a Hollywood narcissist to protest the attention-starved shallowness of
celebrity life than to wallow in it to the bitter end?

Reminds me of when Olbermann trashed Al Gore after he was fired from Current TV

Keith Olbermann: Al Gore Is a “Clod”

When you’re working for somebody whom you admired politically, who turns out to be a clod, the scales fall from your eyes. Sorry. Al underdelivered. I mean that’s just simply the case. I don’t want to dwell on it, but it’s true.

Defenders of the status quo are always stronger than reformers seeking change,
UNTIL the status quo self-destructs from its own corruption, and the reformers are free to build on its ashes.

"If you've heard this story before, don't stop me because I'd like to hear it again," Groucho Marx (on market history?).

“I've learned in options trading simple is best and the obvious is often the most elusive to recognize.”

"The god of trading rewards persistence, experience and discipline, and absolutely nothing else."

The Cesspool That is Hollywood

Polanski's rape victim tells all in her new book

Like every other teenager in Southern California in 1977, 13-year-old Samantha Geimer was an aspiring actress.

She ultimately did become famous, but only as “The Girl” raped by Roman Polanski in one of the biggest scandals in the history of Hollywood.

Mick Jagger's girlfriend found in apparent suicide as records show she was $6M in debt

Scott was found hanging from a doorknob Monday morning, and police said they believed her death was a suicide. ‘Everyone thought she had a perfect life but when you would chat to her it was clear her life was far from it,’

The phony world of celebrity.

Staggering” is how Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves described the alleged crimes committed by former Illinois Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife, Sandra Stevens Jackson. Earlier this year, the two pleaded guilty to using nearly $750,000 in campaign funds to pay for luxury items, from gold-plated Rolex watches and Michael Jackson memorabilia to thousands of dollars in furs and other clothing.

What's odious about the Jackson case is the carefully leaked media spin that the theft was the result of Junior's reported mental problems.

Though the Jacksons might play the wounded spirits, they've got to be celebrating. They're not naive. They've had their behinds smooched for years in Chicago.

Records from former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s divorce case show the government has given him large benefit checks after he served time in prisons for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from his campaign fund.

Jackson receives about $138,400 annually, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Jackson's attorney, Barry Schatz, said about $100,000 of that is workers' compensation and is tax free. The rest of his benefits are Social Security Disability Insurance payments, some of which may be taxable.

Jackson received the payments because he has depression and bipolar disorder, which led to an extended leave from Congress in 2012.
