If I were a taxpayer I'd be much madder about spending $500 million on "moderate" Syrian rebels than supporting green energy.
Can't imagine paying taxes for crap like that...
The Obama administration asked Congress on Thursday to authorize $500 million to provide U.S. military training and equipment to "moderate" Syrian rebels.

You were no doubt even more outraged by the $535 Million Solyndra fraud and waste.

The human cost is great for both warfare and the green energy scheme.
But at least politicians will profit nicely from our loss.

Gas is $4+ in many areas today and that hurts the poor.
And while building a pipeline would offer jobs to the poor, it would cut into billionaire Tom Steyer and his business partner's profits.
Besides, he is donating to save the planet. wink wink
Never mind that he’s a major investor in solar-energy projects that compete with fossil fuels.

Of course 500 million is nothing when compared to 6 trillion spent on silly wars that nobody even cares about. That kind of money can bankrupt a nation. Mar 28, 2013 - Long-terms costs of the Iraq and Afghan wars could reach $6 trillion, ... The U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq will cost taxpayers $4 trillion to $6 trillion, .... 1. Iraq reports major effort to recapture Tikrit.

My head is spinning from the speed of the checks being written on the backs of the taxpayer. Obama To Ask Congress For $2 Billion To Help Child Immigrants ... more than $2 billion to respond to the flood of immigrants illegally entering.
