MaryAM, good one.

We have lots of limestone and coral here in mid-America, left from when this was once a sea bed! (So much for ocean levels rising.)

"Phytoplankton are the largest producer (eater) of CO2"

It is theorized that carbon based fuels are not just ancient fossil based, but are being continually created by millions of tons of dying Phytoplankton falling to unexplorable ocean depths under extreme pressure.

Greenies now are so excited to replicate something similar with algae and call it "sustainable biofuels".

They are getting HUGE government grants for their efforts.

That seems to be similar to being paid to grow "sustainable" grass in your house when you have a whole yard full of it.

Real "settled" Scientists say: "We know so little and we don't know what we don't know."

Born and raised in Indiana - good old Indiana limestone is featured in many buildings in DC and other cities.  All the result of the permian extinction.  And when Indiana was totally under water and an old sea bed - except for the southern part of the state.  As for dying Phytoplankton - one of the biggest producers of O2 on the planet - my greatest fear is the long term effects of Fukushima discharges into the Pacific - totally uncontrolled and uncontrollable - basically Chernobyl on steroids.  A major kill off of this organism and we can kiss our butts good by.

Only Sacrifice can Stop Climate Change

National Geographic

As elevated sea temperatures threaten the earth's climate, the elite social classes promote the idea of saving our world thru sacrifice.

But there is "nothing new under the sun."
Over 500 years ago, settlements along Peru's north coast faced severe rain and flooding on the generally arid coastline, probably associated with a climate event related to El-Niño. Elevated sea temperatures characteristic of El Niño would have disrupted marine fisheries in the area, while coastal flooding could have overwhelmed the extensive infrastructure of agricultural canals prompting emergency sacrifices: Human sacrifices.
When the sacrifice of adults wasn't enough to fend off the repeated disruptions wrought by El Niño, children were sacrificed.

The victims' chests were cut open and pulled apart, perhaps to facilitate the removal of the still-beating heart.

Excavations at Las Llamas in 2016, found more than 140 sets of child remains and 200 juvenile llamas, offering compelling scientific evidence for the largest single mass child sacrifice event known in world history. Until now, the largest mass child sacrifice event for which we have physical evidence is the ritual murder and interment of 42 children at Templo Mayor in the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlán (modern-day Mexico City).
The skeletal remains of both children and animals show evidence of cuts to the sternum as well as rib dislocations to facilitate the removal of the heart.
"It is ritual killing, and it's very systematic, made by one or more trained hands."
Scientists believe that the ritual may have been conducted by elite social classes.

"This just may be the tip of the (rapidly melting) iceberg."

Fatal flaw found in the academic system: Scientists are human!

Scientific inquiry is prone to the eternal rules of human social life: deference to the charismatic, herding towards majority opinion, punishment for deviance, and intense discomfort with admitting to error.

Here's another "settled science fraud" that has lasted 50 years...and continues to this day!

(This is one of the most-saved, read, and shared stories!)

The Sugar Conspiracy

(Excerpts)

In 1972, a British scientist sounded the alarm that sugar – and not fat – was the greatest danger to our health. But his findings were ridiculed and his reputation ruined. How did the world’s top scientists get it so wrong for so long?
This theory had somehow held up unsupported for nearly half a century has been rejected by several comprehensive evidence reviews, even as it staggers on, zombie-like.

“There’s a lot of stuff that was right 40 years ago but that has been disproved. Unfortunately, sometimes, the scientific community doesn’t like to backtrack.”

If you are seeking to protect your authority, why draw attention to evidence that seems to contradict the assertions on which that authority is founded? Allow a thread like that to be pulled, and a great unravelling might begin.

"The game is to confirm what you and your predecessors have always believed.”

We tend to think of heretics as contrarians, individuals with a compulsion to flout conventional wisdom. But sometimes a heretic is simply a mainstream thinker who stays facing the same way while everyone around him turns 180 degrees.

Scientific inquiry is prone to the eternal rules of human social life: deference to the charismatic, herding towards majority opinion, punishment for deviance, and intense discomfort with admitting to error.

Of course, such tendencies are precisely what the scientific method was invented to correct for, and over the long run, it does a good job of it. In the long run, however, we’re all dead, quite possibly sooner than we would be if we hadn’t been following ...poor advice.

In a 2015 paper titled Does Science Advance One Funeral at a Time?, a team of scholars at the National Bureau of Economic Research sought an empirical basis for a remark made by the physicist Max Planck: “A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it.”

File under: "We Know So Little"  or GIGO... "Garbage In, Garbage Out"

Earth’s magnetic pole is on the move, fast. And we don’t know why

Earth’s magnetic field is what allows us to exist. It deflects harmful radiation. It keeps our water and atmosphere in place. But now it’s acting up — and nobody knows why.

"On January 30 the World Magnetic Model — which governs modern navigation systems — is due to undergo an urgent update.

The computer model was so inaccurate that it was about to exceed the acceptable (safe) limit!"

Could it be all of the cars moving all at once out of New York City are  is shifting the magnetic North Pole???!  ;-)

Or maybe it's all of that evil CO2 coming from the evil New York automobiles leaving town?  ;-)

GREENLAND? Isn't that where the Vikings lived...back when the earth was much warmer?

Does this map have a scale? Miles, meters etc? Geographic N/S? Have not seen this one before - seen the drifting magnetic pole map b;ut not over this long a period.

MaryAM

I wondered this myself. This map does not have a scale. Except that it shows latatude. I could not find one with a scale.

ON AVERAGE, the magnetic pole has moved North about 10 km per year since 1831. It is it is VERY close to the geographic pole now. One could make a rough guess how much it's moved with some simple math.

The so-called 97% scientific consensus.

In 2013 President Obama spoke of 97% consensus of climate scientist. Since then everybody who reports on this from the mainstream media repeats this so-called 97% consensus claim.

It's simply pure BS.

The 2013 study linked below, examined almost 12,000 papers done by climate scientists. However, the writer only considered those that spoke of AGW and not those who ''merely'' spoke of global warming or climate change.

The author ignored the 65% of those who did not concentrate on AGW, but instead wrote on the broad topic of global warming and climate change.

In short, of the 1/3 that's supported AGW 97% blamed man...Seem obvious that was their beginning opinion.

The other two-thirds we're not discussed or included.

This is a link to the actual study used my Obama ..

Climate CHANGING as always! Antarctic Ice melting...and freezing...and melting...and...

Remains of ancient life discovered beneath Antarctic lake ice...

Researchers say they have discovered the remains of ancient life, undisturbed for thousands of years, buried below the ice of an Antarctic lake.

Scientists discovered fragmented remains of creatures that had lived in the lake thousands of years ago.

Figuring out when and where the creatures lived, and the type of environments they needed to survive would increase our understanding of how

climate change wwii, 12 year human sacrifice war

why wouldnt libtards ,the kind that do arithmetic, just create millennia of tax debt, tax on debt,

interest on debt, debt on interest, debt on tax, pulling generations of waste malinvestment

consumption forward to burn as much carbon as soon as possible instead of later, consuming resources.

certainly they would eliminate all "greenhouse" gases particularly the 95% of it that is water,

and that pesky plant food, CO2.

Closing the nanny welfare state would certainly set the noble example of a WWII style war sacrifice, by, women.
