I will be taking profit on my shorts in HK starting today. Hong Kong started selling off again today. Being an opened financial center, we usually get hit first by winds blowing in from east and west. Many reasons why it should be a big sell. 1. Middle East Bird Flu (MERS) epidemic just started in north asia. Korea being the epicenter. Hong Kong just isolated 20 persons. 2. China issued challenge to the U.S. in South China Seas. If the U.S. wants a fight, bring it on. 3. All time high, over stretched valuations across the board. 4. Technical indicators set-up indicating a good correction. 5. Fed interest rate hike soon. At least some minor hike to show the FED impartiality. 6. European troubles over Greece and Ukraine. If I am a big fund, this is probably a good time to take some chips off the table and book the profits for the new holiday house or yacht. That's what some people are doing in HK and China. I would think the same mindset elsewhere in the world.

watch the dollar for another impulse move up. Or rather Euro impulse move down. Grext is still a currency risk.

Close another chunk of Hang Seng shorts in after hours. ES seems to be down too but I closed SP shorts earlier in the day.

all we need are 2 announcement tonight.

US decides to sail carrier group from 7th fleet into south china sea. there's a carrier in Singapore which can go.

Greece decides to kiss Merkel goodbye.

Lighter volume this morning than yday now... We could see Nasdaq pop on a test of that hourly low of 5045

See the low on RUT?

1243.30

From Today's RUT Forecast:

at this point we still see 1243.33 as the active support here as it was tested and rejected again today...however we could turn right around and test it again.

We got no Nasdaq test there, bounced anyway - but that still leaves it open.

RUT bounced right where it should have...
