Folks, we've under-managed this board. There are too many, FAR too many politically incendiary posts and topic here.
Insulting folks, even obliquely plants the seeds of dissension that can poison the entire site.
Will insulting political figures like Al Gore, RFK Jr and Prince Charles be permitted?
Defenders of the status quo are always stronger than reformers seeking change,
UNTIL the status quo self-destructs from its own corruption, and the reformers are free to build on its ashes.

What do you think?
Civil critique will likely be allowed. Likely.

Also moronic media propagandists like Russ Limbaugh, Matt Drudge and all of Fox News?

So now we see the disease that is hanging out on this site...
This "socio" set of boards, it is cancer.
I move to shut it down and stick to business.
Too many sniper attacks...
If you mean the "ill health and insanity" board, I'm with you. I wouldn't mind seeing it shut down so that this site can concentrate on the markets even though I'm one of that board's most frequent posters. It is an annoying and often ridiculous place to be and unfortunately a lot of what goes on there catches one up in the urge to reply (probably shouldn't, but you know what they say about evil when good men do nothing...). The posters on that board who have no TA or fundamentals to contribute to the other boards would, I guess, just have to go elsewhere - like Yahoo, or Twitter, or Reddit (where they would get their butts handed them in short order). I doubt in the end they would be missed.
I recently suggested Traders-Talk to a friend (even citing you as a reason to check it out), but after a while he quit visiting, telling me "that place is worthless, most of those people are just ragging on each other." Yeah, couldn't completely deny that and if this is driving people away and blocking new people from entering, a shutdown, me thinks, is certainly worth consideration.
As the former comedian Dennis Miller used to say: "That's just my opinion. I could be wrong."
(Note: Mr. Miller left the world of comedy on 9/11, was wrong, and now just pretends to be funny.)

It's going to have to stop. As I have time, I'm going to be cleaning things up. You may want to save some current and perhaps more appropriate threads, perhaps starting new postings to continue more constructive discussion. I will be moving a number of posts and threads to the invisible archives.
Insulting folks, even obliquely plants the seeds of dissension that can poison the entire site.
So, be advised. Things are changing and we're going to be far less tolerant of some of the stuff that has regularly been posted here.
