The Call

From the link:

Islamic leaders have issued a clarion call to 1.6bn Muslims around the world to work towards phasing out greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and a 100% renewable energy strategy.

The grand mufti’s of Lebanon and Uganda endorsed the Islamic declaration on climate change, along with prominent Islamic scholars and teachers from 20 countries, at a symposium in Istanbul.

Their collective statement makes several detailed political demands likely to increase pressure on Gulf states ahead of the Paris climate summit in December.

“We particularly call on the well-off nations and oil-producing states to lead the way in phasing out their greenhouse gas emissions as early as possible and no later than the middle of the century,” it says.

Clear emissions reductions targets and monitoring systems should be agreed in Paris, the statement says, along with “generous financial and technical support” for poorer countries to help wean them off fossil fuels.

So far, Morocco is the only Middle Eastern country to present an emissions-cutting climate pledge ahead of the summit. But Hakima el-Haite, the country’s environment minister said that the declaration could help to change mindsets and behaviours around climate change in some Gulf states.

“It is an emotive call for a spiritual fight against climate change that will be very important for Muslims,” she told the Guardian. “It speaks to issues of fairness, accountability, differentiation and adaptation in the Paris agreement. I think that the right way to make this sort of call is through the Qur’an.”

El-Haite predicted that Saudi Arabia and other oil-producing countries would sign up to a climate agreement in Paris but said that international support would first be needed to address the “financial gap” involved in transiting from fossil fuels to renewables-based economies.

The Istanbul declaration was made by Islamic figures from Bosnia to Indonesia and follows a ground-breaking Papal encyclical last month. Heads of state, corporations, and all peoples are addressed in the Istanbul call, which carries a universal and startlingly bleak message.

“We are in danger of ending life as we know it on our planet,” the statement says. “This current rate of climate change cannot be sustained, and the earth’s fine equilibrium (mīzān) may soon be lost.”

“What will future generations say of us, who leave them a degraded planet as our legacy?” the religious leaders ask. “How will we face our Lord and Creator?”

Five reasons people don’t believe the White House about global warming

A lack of faith in foreign cooperation.

I would love to see a poll that asks American voters if they think American tax dollars should be spent on global warming remedies in foreign lands.

This administration lacks credibility.

“If he couldn’t get a Web site right, how are we supposed to believe he knows how to control the climate?”

The global warming cause fits too nicely with the president’s left-wing political agenda.

That is, redistribution of wealth, higher taxes, anti-growth, anti-development regulations, etc. Because they don’t have much support from voters, the left has to advance its cause through surreptitious maneuvering rather than forthright advocacy of its specific global warming policies.

Overreach.

When there is a topical weather event, be it a warm typhoon in the Pacific or a cold snap in the United States, we hear it is caused by global warming. But non-events, such as fewer tropical storms becoming hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico are dismissed as meaningless because we are told you must evaluate climate change over the long term.

Hypocrisy.

People notice that the founding father of the global warming movement, Al Gore, has become fabulously wealthy by selling out to Middle Eastern oil and gas interests. People notice the mansions, private planes and the super-wealthy lifestyle.

Vladimir Putin:

Global Warming Is ‘A Fraud’

Putin believes “there is no global warming, that this is a fraud to restrain the industrial development of several countries, including Russia,”

“We found that, while climate change does exist, it is cyclical, and the anthropogenic role is very limited,” Illarionov said. “It became clear that the climate is a complicated system and that, so far, the evidence presented for the need to ‘fight’ global warming was rather unfounded.”

The Indian government has just outlawed Greenpeace.

The ban has been introduced on the technical grounds that Greenpeace has violated various rules in the southern Indian state where it was registered, Tami Nadu. Allegedly it has “fraudulently” conducted its business by falsifying balance sheets and other violations – charges which Greenpeace is now contesting.

But whatever the ostensible reasons, this is clearly a case of Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking to show the green NGO that he is not going to allow India’s economic development to be hamstrung by green activism.

Paris climate talks are doomed because China knows that 'Climate Change' is a hoax

China sees it as a brilliant opportunity to fleece the gullible for as much money as it can, to burnish its international image by making all the right green noises, and to blackmail the West into providing it with free technology.

But it has no intention whatsoever of sacrificing economic growth by reducing its carbon dioxide emissions.

China’s leadership knows that what China says to the West is more important than what China does, absolving it of the need to make any binding commitment to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions. China also knows that Western leaders’ have no firm expectation of concrete commitments in Paris. Rather, their paramount goal is to maintain face at the Paris talks, which would collapse without China’s presence.

Climate Summit, Climate Farce

What we will now see is various world leaders striking inspiring historical poses, with Libya in ruins, Syria in flames, Ukraine on the brink, and ISIS on the march.

Hypocrisy is the necessary lubricant of international life, and the Paris agreement is about as well lubricated as they come. Nobody is serious about this “agreement,” but the diplomats have agreed that a hollow facade of an agreement is preferable to the PR disaster that failure would have been. There will no doubt be many follow-ups, jet-setting conferences in many more attractive destinations, and climate diplomacy will continue to produce more greenhouse gasses than climate agreements block.

Climate Summit, Climate Fiasco

The “father of the global warming scare” James Hansen, immediately claimed the agreement, which committed no one to anything, was a “fake” and a “fraud”.

Buried from sight in Paris was the openly declared intention of China, India and pretty well every “emerging economy” in the world to build thousands more coal-fired power stations, causing their “carbon emissions” to double or even treble. Global emissions in the next 15 years are set to soar, without any effect on the climate.

Angela Merkel spills the beans.  Climate Agreement has nothing to do with Climate.  It's all about "globalization".

“The Paris deal isn’t just any other deal. It is a key agreement that shapes today’s globalization,” Merkel said

Multinational Banks and Corporations Trigger Immediate Angst Over Trump Withdrawal From Paris Treaty…

Ask yourself this very basic question:

If Elon Musk (Tesla), Tim Cook (Apple), Larry Page (google), Mark Zuckerberg (facebook), or any of the myriad of multinational executives really cared about “climate change”, then why are they doing business in China?

Every word we read, every corporate broadcast, every espoused punditry opinion, every angle that’s visible, everything surrounding the Paris Climate “Treaty”, All.Of.It., is driven by multinational banks and corporations who have a vested financial interest.

The Paris Climate Treaty has nothing to do with “climate” and everything possible to do with economics, globalism and the controlled redistribution of economic wealth as constructed through decades of advanced policies of multinational financial interests.

There are factually TRILLIONS of dollars at stake.
