I find that simply having the Fearless Forecaster Board open is driving CPU Utilization to about 50%.  That is board open, not doing anything.  That is a lot of CPU to do nothing.

 

And what evidence do you have that proves that this board is the cause of that CPU Utilization? Of course the impact on CPU Utlization will depend on the power of the CPU in the first place, but on my machine I see no change in utlization if I tab in and out of having the board loaded.

 

 

FWIW, my CPU utilization is about 15% right now. That's with 3 TT browser windows open, plus my quote system, plus my email, plus 30 windows in Firefox (I know, I have a disease) plus a few spreadsheets.

 

Frankly, I think the board is running muchmore efficiently, at least for me. Your browser and mileage may vary...

Clicking the "Like This" button says "You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day". That has been the pop up each time I clicked it. Not working???

its these young programmers - who are more interested in the look of the gui than in how luddite or super pragmatic people use a product. just want to say - I used the low fi version too - not always but sometimes - it was handy.

 

i pretty much never got pop ups for ages before and ow I am getting them once a day at least.

An obvious bug is that the counter for Viewers does not update promptly.

I know it is FF board driving CPU utilization.  If I load a non Traders talk page, thus closing the FF board, the CPU utilization will drop to low single digits from about 50% with the previous FF page open.

That's not a bug, it's a feature. The view count is updated less frequently to reduce load on the web server.
