On Tuesday, Apple was ordered to repay as much as 13 billion euros ($14.5 billion) plus interest after the European Commission said Ireland illegally slashed the iPhone maker’s tax bill between 2003-2014

Really?  How about 33.30 per share?

 

 

14.5B / 5.3B = 2.69/share x p/e ratio 12.38 = 33.30

 

That's a pretty huge drop...

 

Going to put a DENT in that bucket...

They won't pay a dime more, AND, if the EU doesn't watch it, this American company can move anywhere they wish around the globe and "poof" there go your jobs and taxes.

That's not the way you value stuff.

 

Price is not just based on this quarter's earnings, rather based on expected ("mythical") earnings discounted to infinity. You can't put a dent on price based on a one quarter impact.
