Portland’s Small-House Movement is Catching On

 

 

I had to laugh when I read about the "NEW" Tiny House fad and an 800 s/f house selling for $175,000.

But it seems like this "fad" started well over 150 years ago. LOL!

 

From Floyd Jones' Memoir from Taneyville near Branson, Mo. 1880's:
"There were nine of us born in the old log house, We all lived in one room: cooked, eat, slept in the same room. No cook stove, no lamps; mother did all the cooking on. What I am going to write about our way of life then may be hard for some people to believe but it is all true. It all seems like yesterday to me."

(Read this and get your eyes opened to life in a TINY home before even matches were invented!) ;-)
