Firstly, there is a recognition on the rate of return... based on this chart +3.7% over the past 3 weeks. No wonder there is no volume in these equity markets.
Why risk it?
As I said awhile back...
HUG YOUR US$$

Pretty soon people will figure it out...
One thing the F'ed cannot stop is a run to the dollar.
They have no resources for that.
The last thing on their minds...
Another Black Swan they missed.
On another topic, whatever happened to that Genius Rickards?

You can do the math... no wonder this market has no volume in it... and all the funds are going to cash.

Interesting take. Here's another on the relation between US equities & $ appreciation. http://www.investope...correlation.asp
two points
A -
over a 20-year period
We're not looking at 20 years, we're looking at the local trend, the last 3 weeks.
B -
As more and more investors put their money in U.S. equities, they are required to first buy U.S. dollars, which can be used to purchase American stocks, causing the indexes to increase in value.
The problem here is if it were the case that US$ were being purchased to buy stocks, then we would expect this to be confirmed by VOLUME... Volume has been light over the past 3 weeks.
