Keep in mind they do not ring a bell before a crash. Also major crashes are usually accompanied by a black swan event,

such as Dotcom bust, housing bust, major bank bust, currency bust somewhere etc. No such event is in the news.

there's always something to be cautious of and when there isn't, sell. was it a rothschild who said "sell to the sound of trumpets, and buy to the sound of drums,"?

It became oversold on the 17th and gave a weak/moderate buy signal.  If a stronger buy signal were to have come about, the market should have continued down from there or after the 19th.  Things currently stand at neutral.  Volaility continues to be extremely low at around 8.

neutral is no fun, (but not as un-fun as losing money;

 but losing always carries the hope of redemption, which sometimes helps)

I think there is risk very soon, not just yet, right now November looks risky period not October at all.  We could see SPX 2130 Tuesday and if that fails 2113, but still think there is room to rise into the 2170's

I don't know if we need breadth to deteriorate some more or not but I am so sick of these 7 pts daily ranges.  Tiring and I have a day job that keeps me busy!
