Are you selling short the US indices?  I think the US indices stay strong through a rate hike.  It is evidently game over for EEM.

Maybe daytraders on the 5 min are making money but I see nothing but noise on the daily.

I had a very good internals system but it only works in sideways markets. Yeah, in hindsight you could have went long a month ago and just held day after day but with the grind lower you don't really want to short and hold in a bull market, you know they will eventually rip it higher

at least on a one day wonder. My system on paper could have turned high six figures from a thousand with no losses  during the chop in

Dec. - Feb. But trending markets are for investors only and hope you didn't buy the top. I really don't like intraday 5 min. trading, yeah

you can catch a 10 point move sometimes but everything happens so fast. I just prefer taking a position eod and closing out the next day eod,

but again, that really only works in sideways markets. We will probably get another one during the Summer months, but with Trump in office,

seems like there will be more trending than in the past. And hedging options with options only ends up with more losses and more stress, they both decay so you are fighting a losing battle. I can't make money on 3-5 point moves day to day either.

someone just asked what he should do with a short that has been grinding lower since Jan 2015 - there are LT trends and ST trends - they are different look diferent and have different risks - CLK - I am sure if you focussed you would find what you are looking for.

NYMO is at 12 month lows off the cliff but price has barely dropped. Next move will be new highs.

So if you were not long by yesterday's close, almost a guaranteed loss on a short term basis now.

This is the problem with early morning confirmation trading, the move has already happened.

That is why eod positioning is critical to avoid chasing, but you have to have an eod system that gives

some indication you won't be wrong.

I wonder how newly minted bulls are enjoying their losses this morning ? I think we get a full gap fill

out of this.

Hi CLK

My VST system is EOD and has done very well for me. I have posted real time here and what I bought when I can post.  I bought my Put last Thursday and sold it yesterday for a little over 9%.  BUT I am looking for 30%+ move on my EOD VST system.

I am down on my IT short and using my VST system to hedge with calls if there is a signal.  But I bought Puts on top of my IT shorts given the strength of the VST signal, so I took that risk.
