I've got a "Secret Hedge Fund" Buy and a weekly "Best Fade" Buy. Neither of these are precision indicators but they tell me that I ought to be looking long very soon.

 

Yeah, the chart doesn't look right and all the indicators are negative.

 

Of course, at every bottom, all the indicators do look negative.

 

I'm hoping to see some serious sentiment support... That would be our cue to shut our eyes and buy.

VIX vs VXV readings are at bottom levels.  I think we get a bounce.  The size of the bounce is the question.

Another variation on the VXV/VIX ratio shows some extremes associated with bottoms.  I'm still bearish by being long TLT, but put buyers have gotten too bearish too quickly.  The equity put/call ratio on Friday was almost 1.  If this short-term bearishness is because of the North Korea crap, then it is all going to be unwound very quickly.

It is a 5min. chart and like Chravo, above and pisces noted. Overbought, end of day spike high, weak, and indications of a flat opening or down day was VERY possible.

And as I stated F W I W, one persons opinion.

The quant weather is easing up, after storm comes the rain.
