Speaking of breadth, how is it possible that the volume and breadth are down 2:1 on NYSE and S&P 500 Index is still at break even with 5 out of 10 sectors actually down and the rest barely at break even?



Look at NASDAQ 100. Members overlap. I thought a quant guy like you should easily spot this.

It was a rhetorical question, I see that the weighting is the only reason the broad market is down and the cap weighted indices are holding up, but is it sustainable? This has to rocket launch tomorrow or we will see 2 days down next... 

 

One of the less likely setups was to close flat and then see a down drift for a few days ahead of a bottom, but that bottom can be as much as 1-1.5% lower...

with WWW days away......volatility will be the norm....if the market declines into WWW   a ramp into opex would be expected.....wash rinse and dry every month......
