German bund cleared 0.5.

Remember October 1987 when the US warned Germany not to raise interest rates anymore.

There's a nice frontpage cover in today's Economist blaming Germany for the economy.

The Germans reneged on the Louvre Accord where they were supposed to lower interest rates to support the US Dollar.

They raised their interest rate in September due to inflation.  Hence, the warning by the US not to do it again.

The ECB can only buy 33 pct of the bunds.   They will run out in Q1 2018.   There is some front-running of the schedule of purchases.

At the same time, Greenspan was selling treasuries from the balance sheet to strengthen the US dollar, which is something we don't see yet.

Severe things?  What?  Assassinate Archduke Kim Jong-un and see how that shakes out?

The bigger question could be who's going to be the big fat patsy at the G-20 poker table?

"If you've heard this story before, don't stop me because I'd like to hear it again," Groucho Marx (on market history?).

“I've learned in options trading simple is best and the obvious is often the most elusive to recognize.”

"The god of trading rewards persistence, experience and discipline, and absolutely nothing else."
