Nothing but top picking on this board. Yes, it's tough going long after the IT run we have had.

Tomorrow is most likely a dip, but we just saw 70 points in 7 trading days and not one post about a long position.

In fairness, this crew is pretty good at top picking!

FWIW, I'd NEVER look for a top unless we had at least 40% short Bears in the poll.

FWIW, I'm fully long and have been for a long time now for Timer Digest.

I bought in heavily starting a month ago.  I bought FB, GOOG, AND MSFT at the bottom of the tech correction, plus lots of SPY.  Today I sold the big 3 tech names.  I was posting my turns on lawdogs topic, but since he has stopped updating it, I guess I'll have to start a swing trade topic of my own.

In the poll I have been partially long and bullish this week.  I'm still partially long but will switch to neutral today.

My swing trades typically last a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

There hasn't been any reason to sell.   So it also looks suspicious when people are throwing up new buy signals all the time.  It probably means these bulls were never in the market. There was a news article the other day where the head of the securities exchange complained that the central banks were killing activity because people weren't selling out of their positions.

The polls and what people post don't really match, I look at the polls but the posts are usually a fade.

When people get brave enough to actually post, usually they are wrong, it's just the way it is.

My time horizon for a trade is hours to a day mostly, up to a week out.
