Pichai could have stood up for the free flow of information. Instead he joined the mob. He fired Damore and wrote, “To suggest a group of our colleagues have traits that make them less biologically suited to that work is offensive and not O.K.”

That is a blatantly dishonest characterization of the memo. Damore wrote nothing like that about his Google colleagues. Either Pichai is unprepared to understand the research (unlikely), is not capable of handling complex data flows (a bad trait in a C.E.O.) or was simply too afraid to stand up to a mob.

The mob that hounded Damore was like the mobs we’ve seen on a lot of college campuses. We all have our theories about why these moral crazes are suddenly so common. I’d say that radical uncertainty about morality, meaning and life in general is producing intense anxiety. Some people embrace moral absolutism in a desperate effort to find solid ground. They feel a rare and comforting sense of moral certainty when they are purging an evil person who has violated one of their sacred taboos.

The harm Google has done by firing Damore.  Google now has a reputation for censorship and harassment.

As Google abandons meritocracy in favor of ideology, anyone who doesn't buy in to "social justice warrior" ideology will seek employment elsewhere.

4000 Google Employees Sign Petition To End Controversial AI Drone Contract With The U.S. Military

With Project Maven, Google becomes implicated in the questionable practice of targeted killings. These include so-called signature strikes and pattern-of-life strikes that target people based not on known activities but on probabilities drawn from long range surveillance footage.

Google has removed its unofficial motto "don't be evil" from its code of conduct.

5 Whoppers Google CEO Sundar Pichai Told Congress                          https://www.breitbar...i-told-congress/

1. The Google CEO leads the company “without political bias”

In the past year , Google has banned alternative media figures and free speech apps from its services, and refused service to both Republican senator-elect Marsha Blackburn in the U.S. midterm race and Toronto mayoral candidate Faith Goldy in Canada.

Perhaps the starkest evidence of Google’s bias is its decision to allow Wikipedia, a site dominated by far-left propaganda, a privileged position in its search results and YouTube video descriptions

3. Users can opt out of Google’s invasive tracking services

An Associated Press report found that multiple Google services on Android phones store users’ location data regardless of whether the “Location History” feature is toggled on or off. The findings were confirmed by computer scientists at Stanford University. A prior investigation by Tucker Carlson found that Android phones can track you even when disconnected from any network or in flight mode.

5. Google has diverse perspectives

Except for engineers who express mainstream centrist views on gender diversity and political tolerance, and are subsequently hounded by left-wing employees. Current and former Google employees take a very different view of how welcoming Google is to non-progressive perspectives.

Dennis Prager: Google Is ‘Full of Crap; They Will Lie Because They Can Get Away with It’      https://www.breitbar...t-away-with-it/

Tech moguls like Google CEO Sundar Pichai are “full of crap” when they blame censorship on algorithms.

“They will lie, because they can get away with it. Who’s going to catch them? The New York TimesThe Washington PostThe LA Times? CBS? ABC? NBC? Who’s going to catch them?”

Prager also said that the Left believes everyone who is different than them is “scum.”

“You take on the Left, you get destroyed — the price we [conservatives] pay for not being on the left, and being outspoken, and well-known, is a high price.”
