Much ado about metals

Much comment this week about Gold as it reached a new 2017 high.  Certainly it is a landmark event, and metals generally had a good week.  But compare GLD with Industrial Metals (DBB). BigCharts: GLD & DBB - 3 mo

The chart shows only the past three months, but during that period the industrials have done quite well.  I suppose they are trying to tell us something about economic activity, but I don't know if it would apply only to the U.S. or extend internationally.  GCC (a diverse commodities ETF) is included for reference. -- AGL


PS:  I've noticed that when I post about a trending item it sometimes signifies an end-to-trend (or maybe a pause).  So advise caution.  No positions.
