if you are talking about breadth .....that's impossible

Price.

The short term trend of cumulative breadth will ALWAYS tell you, in ADVANCE, if there is a possibility (or even a probability) if something like this can happen...and without exception. Unfortunately, you haven't fully discovered how it does this, and this has caused you (and many others) to worry too much about these kinds of one day events, and you lose out in taking full advantage of such opportunities (and in both directions).

If you are talking about the MCO, then maybe, but right now it has been down and sideways the whole month. There was a divergence prior to the 2010 event, but NYAD was at the highs right at the crash. And it wasn't just a fluke, there were subsequent

retests and took 4 months to recover.

Like I said, you haven't discovered the nuances of what the McClellan's tell you within its proper context.

But as I also said, you're not in the minority when it comes to this which is OK too.
