>d truly believe in your technicals, you would be holding short yesterday at the close.<....there are2 kind of technicals ....good ones and lousy ones

Yeah, the lousy ones work during the open week.

I mean't OPEX week.

counting on filling gaps is a fools game.....there are dozens of unfilled gaps in the last year

You note gaps all the time. Suddenly, they're meaningless and a "fools game"?

Absolutely, I totally agree with you!

ALL price changes are a "gap" from the previous price.

Used to be an eight (12.5 cents) or a quarter. Sometimes a half-a-buck or more. Now, it's a penny or less. Who cares?

Some get filled, some don't. Many so-called "gaps" on US charts are simply an artifact of a lot of overnight trading in other markets not reflected in US charts.

Absolutely and totally meaningless in ANY market.

You've banned me on your SI thread (and I don't care why, I'm just as much of an obstreperous old goat as you are) but I have to say that I totally agree with you when it comes to the dominance of the US economy in the next 50 years.

I completely disagree with you when it comes to whether economics matter.

You certainly can't trade month-to-month economic news, but the only thing that begets rising stock prices is solid economic fundamentals and rising earnings.

Oh, sorry, Cheif, I forgot to mention that you thought some sort of "post-expiration adjustment" (as in sharply down) would be in order.

It might, but then again, maybe not.

Seems the Dow futures are up about 125. Huh. Maybe the idiot market is continuing to react to the fact that tax reform/reduction will actually get enacted this week.

What a concept.

OK. I get what 675 is -- where you bought the S&P. What's "1234" mean? And "ono" means?

Thanks in advance.

OK, I gather from other posts that "ono" means over and out.

Still leaves "1234."

Please enlighten me.
