In bull trends, it's a 90% accurate signal. I have seen da_cheif posting this for nearly 15 years. Yet, most try to short during this week and lose money. I was a victim of that for many years. The game is very simple. They create a convincing sell signal on WWW (wednesday before expiration) and get everyone bearish. Then a abrupt turnaround mostly in gaps and screw the shorts.  Then they throw in a couple of false sell signals during the opex week and again screw the shorts via gaps. Seen this movie way too many times. If you have an uncontrollable urge to short, wait for post-expiration. It will save you a lot of money.

It's really not about technicals during this week(although technicals can help if you only look for long setups), but it's mostly tactical stuff. If i have to be blunt, it's plain manipulation.

Thanks to cheif, i only play long during this week and mostly make good money.

If you are a short term player and truly believe in your technicals, you would be holding short yesterday at the close. If you truly believe in the criminal manipulation that da_cheif alludes to, you would be long at the close yesterday. It requires a leap of faith, but it works 90% of time. Don't ask how or why.

Don't ask how or why.

Yep...leave that to others to ponder.

It's also better to have a methodology when trading instead of just emotionally guessing.

I think the day of opex tends to close about flat so I won't rule out a gap fill before the close.

the method has numerous clews....one is if the market closes bottom tick the market usually gaps up the next day thus buying the close  is a must....as for www unless ur keeping an eye on the fib retracement and the dows 12hr rsi....2620 would have been missed by most../..specially on www....sure if ur hoping for an immediate retest of any www low or high.....most will talk themselves out of taking a position

Yeah, the lousy ones work during the open week.
