Market has spoken. ATH and a 90% chance of a gap up and go on Monday.
Expecting Dow 26500 and SP 2850 by Friday next week

Well futures are suggesting a 100 point Dow gap down; so my 90% fearless forecast is pretty much null and void!!! (And a poor FF)

We are in a bull and so the low should be bought.

SP close below 2790 however is bearish for the week

I trade with City index not IG ... I think these are indicative prices until globex opens

Traders are buying calls betting the senate vote will pass around noon time today.   I see this is a pretty shaky bet.  My bet is the vote will not pass and this is likely to become prolonged shutdown as no party is showing a compromise.

A confirmed shut down did nothing to the markets.

It's not about shutdown itself it's about whether or not there will be a deal on many related issues the market is looking for...............
