I think we something to give it a push such as a war with North Korea.   That could spark trades issues with China, which could cause long term economic issues.  I don't think a war with Iran would do it.   Then again it is usually the unknownes that get us.

If he can't do it by economy/bull market, his next card is war with n.korea. 

A war is a sure way for reelection.

George H. W. ended his war prematurely and failed in reelection.

George W. learns from his father's failure, and he stayed with Iraq war.

Now, we have N.Korea as the common enemy for many Americans, so this is the natural course.  

If the market continue to tank,

then millions of Korean people and probably millions of Japanese people are in big trouble, IMO.

So, I don't want to see  the winter yet.
