its tough to get a true trend day these days, for a gap and go day the 5 minute is a mess.

I don't think it's much longer until this consolidation breaks, should be higher into opex.

 

I've loaded way over my limit of carry positions, time to step back and look for day trades.

A small gap down that gets bought big time would be the best set up right now.

Normally I would say this volume bar was terminal, but since there is only two bars and the first was lower than the down bar next

to it, then it could be volume building for the breakout. Unusual volume for no more time spent at that price than it has been.

look at the history of parabolic breakdowns

 

 

they normally don't signal the end of a bull market

 

what happens is the parabola crashes - then consolidates - then the bull market continues 

 

there is at some point a final big rally which fails and never recovers signaling the bear market

 

only around 20 % does a first parabolic breakdown with volatile consolidation signal the end

Lots of guys looking at that head and shoulders bottom pattern. Lets see if the algos like it. Looking for a breakout, then re-test of the neckline, then take off. Target is 2770
