Milantrader - Why would the 34 ma weekly be a headwind only until October? Seems like, based on past top to bottom cycles of the 34 weekly ma, it takes almost 2 years. The recent top occurred in Jan 2018. Wouldn't that provide a headwind until almost 2020?

I think we have a language issue here: "headwind" implies a negative influence on the market; I think milantrader meant "tailwind".

Underlying data suggests headwind into this period, not suggesting a bottom for the 34 ma then!!

What does "headwind" mean in this context? Higher prices or lower? Thanks.

Volatility. Thats why I posted the 34 ma daily. Underlying data show "dry powder" for a strong countermove. At this moment this period makes me look at the Feb 2004 H --Oct 2004 L timespan and April H -- Jan 12
