As I've said before, there is no war...this is a misnomer provided by the uneducated and politically biased industry heads and media.
Bottom line: China needs us and our prosperity more than we need them...the EU knew this and why they quickly caved.

The "world's greatest negotiator" made major concessions on the 25% auto tariffs, made an insignificant soybean announcement (ZS-201811 beans are up about 2 cents on the deal) and LNG, because of logistics and infrastructure requirements, will take over 2 years for delivery at a price 25% higher than Russian nat gas. Then, the "negotiator" had a Rose Garden presser to claim victory and enable the market rally. The EU comm accommodated enough to participate and go along with the script.

There was only talk on auto tariffs...the steel and aluminum tariffs remain in place while the US and EU continue to negotiate.
It's not all as cut and dry as some might tell you...there are 3 decades of complexities (no less Brexit) that will need to be unraveled before we're back to actual "fair trade".
Oh...and at least we have someone actually negotiating in OUR best interest and not those who would rather think that we're the problem with the world and should be made to pay for our status on the world stage..

There is a war but it's with China, Russia, and Iran. Made in China 2025 is a threat to US, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. They're no longer dependent on external technology for military if they succeed. You can't embargo hardware to try to weaken their military.
