Why do you showcase winners only, and past post at that ?  Got to be plenty 50% loss days.

I tend to post the winners to highlight the possibilities, and not all of those, but more importantly posting helps to continue to convince me  that this is not "too good to be true."

However, you are right but your number is a little off.  Year to date this day-trading system is actually profitable on 55% of the days, 52% of the weeks and every month.

The key remains the trending days by which I mean any time the in-the-money SPY option trades net more than 100% for the day, either on the call side or the put side or a combination of both. There have been 25 trending days this year which is 17% of this year's trading days. Without the trending days, as defined by me, this system is a loser, but with them... I better not say because no one will believe it, and everyone will think I am totally full of you know what (they probably think that anyway yes.gif).

The important thing is this system so far is about all one can ask of any trading system with appropriate money management - little winners, little losers, big winners, no big losers.

By the way, did you like the song?

There are a lot of variables to catching the trending days clean. It looks easy in hindsight, A gap up or down, going to fade the gap or not

if you don't then it reverses.......or double reverse, how many stop outs are you going to allow to start the day before giving up,

and I'm sure the stops aren't a few pennies, about as close as I can trade is 0.10 most will get hit. I was down 25% on just 5 points this morning.

Multiple stops are not small losers anymore.

The only stop is when the signal reverses in this system  It's either in the put or in the call during the day.  And ends on the close.

The most important factor in the trade is finding a signal one is comfortable with on the entry.  That is up to the individual trader.
