What a headache today's sideways was...

From the link:

Today was a little loser again.

Because I’ve been posting winners, primarily to explore the potential of day trading SPY calls and puts on the long side (“the fool’s game”), I’ve been met on the internet as expected by a chorus of naysayers who believe what I’m saying is far “too good to be true.” So I’ve decided to post this loser to reassure that while it is good and it is true it is not every day.

Discussion and charts:

SPY OPTIONS - Can tight little loser lead to a big winner?

"If you've heard this story before, don't stop me because I'd like to hear it again," Groucho Marx (on market history?).

“I've learned in options trading simple is best and the obvious is often the most elusive to recognize.”

Did not get the the trending day Friday I wanted.  Shucks!

But still a 11.9% gain per each $10K traded at the close of the day trade in today's 285 Put (see white flag on the lower right of the chart).

It peaked at 61% during the day and was up 28% at the end of the big drop-down purple candle off the high, but that's the way it goes oftentimes these choppy days.
