Anyone have any insight?

Mark, I know that is your basis for the Option oscillator signal. However in 2017, when high ISEE All Securities number is dominated by the INDEX/ETF number (as it did on Friday) the market has seen the onset of a significant rally. Last such instances with ISEE All Securities above 200 is Sept 11 2017 and July 11 2017. If we relax the requirement that ISE All Securities having to exceed 200, Dec 7 2017 is another date that comes into play which also proceeded with a significant rally. Another reason that suggests to me that rally would continue is that OEX PCR on Friday is on a strong buy if you exclude volume for OEX contracts that were expiring on Friday (with adjusted ratio at a very bullish 0.43).

So I do not follow these signals nor understand how they are constituted...

I'm sure many others don't as well... having said that...only out of curiosity...

Where does this proposed "bad data" leave this signal?

Bullish or Bearish.

Thanks...

It could be an OPTION EXPIRATION anomaly but it does look like quite a big jump in 20 minutes or less.

It "Looks" Bearish, but "Feels" Bullish.

I'm inclined to de-emphasize it for Monday.

So at the root of these numbers is psychology...

I think I understand that spike.

Either there is a problem with their data there or the market is setting up for a flash crash ................
