I think Russia and the US have nothing to gain from a WW3 wiping each other out. The aftermath, the planet will
be in such nuclear fallout that the whole planet will be uninhabitable. Unless the few elite plan on living in bunkers
for decades.

Russia China vs US. and it will happen by within the US and yes some parts will be waste lands. Have you seen those underground bases? Amazing. The US been getting them ready since the 80's Russia and china since the 90's. Not for us of course even though your tax money built them.
