Anyone watching this?

It's like the hair in the IT bull ointment for me, as it hasn't taken out it's old highs.

Thoughts anyone?

Mark, thanks for the insight the other day, every once in a while something I 'kinda' knew' clicks in a new way.

NYSI always lags, it's been discussed in the past here.

Oh really? I would love a link to that discussion!

What a load of crap....it always lags...yea, right.

Thanks for the laugh!

Mostly on the buys, sells it can diverge awhile while price still goes up.

The breadth on most days isn't that good, but just enough. 7 stocks are all that's needed to push the market in either direction.  On down days, it's not that bad either but somehow 20% of the stocks make new highs on those days also.  There is always a bid like on the Bernanke QE period.

Breadth is not good ? The cumulative A/D line keeps making higher highs almost everyday.

So...have you been worrying about this since 2016?

I sure hope not...I know you know better.

Thanks for the input, everyone. Yes, $NYA.

Fib, that was a very enlightening chart, and comment. I worry all the time, da_chief was the first to point it out.

One should not look at the NYSI in that way. It's more like a speedometer that measures how hard you push the gas pedal. The old highs are irrelevant in historical context and convey no useful information.

My 2 cents..
