But is it not an unfair comparison to 1987 time frame ? if we had billions of chat rooms and web pages and blogs in October 1987 maybe they would have predicted the same at that top too ?

I hope that it will hold above 2750 today, and save another leg down for tomorrow Tuesday , which is usually a turn around. And then we go up a bit, to delay the crash to later.
