fwiw it looks like both the gdx and gld bottomed around nov 13 and completed 5 waves up

 

into dec 19 for gdx and into dec 20 for gld . at least that is my take fwiw

the important part of the post being that the bottom came in around nov 13. whatever 

 

the count is if the bottom is in that is a good thin and i def think it is i could be wrong

the actual bottom came in about nov 30 fwiw but the bottom is in

I am thinking of establishing a position in precious metals. I am thinking of GDX or SLV. Do you have any recommendation, if I may ask? I haven't been following metals since 2008-2009.

linrom i would say once gdx closes above 23 buy 1/2 position . 

 

then a close above 25 put on the other half

 

i live slv right here and right now buy 1/2 position now 

 

and the a close above 16.30 buy the other half

 

that is how i would handle it fwiw
