I trade high leverage options, 10% gain on a year won't work for me. Theta is an issue that requires much more planning and work than an ETF.

I agree that it's not easy doing what you do. I sure can't do it that's for sure,  so I'm a trend trader.  LOL....  My yearly goal is only 10% a year Brother, but I'm retired with some very good income, and I have no debt. 

 

Good Trading next week.....  Looks like a very nice gap up and some will be hurting tomorrow morning. Stops will be hit....  I bet there are plenty of folks out there that wished their total return was 10% last year.  A tough finish for many investors....

10% a year "trading", your kidding right?  I don't think I know a trader that only makes 10% a year.  In that case you may as well just throw your money in indexes at the start of the year lol!!  I also know its not true because of all the beer you buy, you must be making more, lol!!!

LOL.... 10% a year on my accounts makes me 150k in gains, and a big chunk is in Roth IRA's.... can you say NO TAX on those gains... You remind me of the traders in the forum I use to post in. I bet you use EW to trade...

LOL....  AA...  Why? I hope your trading with over a million in your accounts. That's still peanuts to most.... Pocket change to many.....  My goal  is 1k a week in my Roth fun money accounts...(Tax free Beer Money)  Some weeks I do better then others I lose some, but I usually hit my goal of 1k a week on average....  That's Beer Money to me....  Our retirement accounts of 35 years of investing is much different then the gambling you are doing trading using options...

Good morning, forgot to mention that yes I trade options, I've been selling them for over 35 years so I'm not so young either lol!  As the years have gone by I've gotten more conservative but always way out of the money as that adds up over time.  Not sure what the EW is but I do trade the ES once in awhile when I get bored for fun.  Good trading to you too!!
