Boston orders police to stop arresting criminals for breaking and entering, destruction of property or shoplifting

Suffolk County DA Rachael Rollins pushes her “no-prosecute” list into action.

The “list” gives a green light to a number of arrest-worthy offenses — including trespassing, shoplifting, disorderly conduct, and “wanton or malicious destruction of property.”

In other words, local law enforcement is being directed by the district attorney to stand idly by while miscreants steal and destroy property.

“It’s a recipe for a public safety disaster. It strikes me as troubling and I think it should trouble the whole city,”

American cities ... and any semblance of ''security in one's home'' ... are/have been destroyed by the left/socialists.

We all know the list of the major ones. But, if one looks at ANY of those historically run by the left, crime, increasing poverty, degradation of society, etc. all run rampant...until they descend into a pile of rubble.

But ... until they do collapse ... those at the top all seem to live well within their guarded compounds.

California loves crime.  https://www.american...rosecutors.html

Prop 47, the “Reduced Penalties for Some Crimes Initiative” is very pro-thief. Under its provisions, offenses that were once felonies, including shoplifting, grand theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, fraud, and more, are recategorized as misdemeanors. It states that theft of property worth less than $950 is not prosecutable. Such thefts result in the perpetrators getting the equivalent of a warning for J-walking. They face essentially no punishment.

Predictably, retailers and the law-abiding public are feeling the hurt. This quote showed up in National Review: “Every bicycle in our building has been stolen,”  “I’ve caught so many people stealing packages. They don’t care. They know nothing will happen to them. It’s crazy. It’s horrible.”

"We've heard of cases where they're going into stores with a calculator so they can make sure that what they steal is worth less than $950," said Robin Shakely, Sacramento County assistant chief deputy district attorney.”

National Police Association Files Bar Complaint Against District Attorney Elect Rachael Rollins

National Police Association has filed a Massachusetts state bar complaint against Suffolk County, Massachusetts DA Elect Rachael Rollins (“Rollins”), alleging the Boston lawyer violated ethics rules when she campaigned for District Attorney representing to the public that Rollins, regardless of what laws were in place and regardless of the rule of law itself, would affirmatively enact policy changes that directly, adversely and will foreseeably impact the safety and well-being of those that she is soon charged to represent in her official capacity as District Attorney.

The complaint says Rollins violated several rules of professional conduct for lawyers, including promising to implement policy positions that are illegitimate, contrary to law, contrary to her ethical obligations as an attorney and further a clear and immediate danger to the public’s overall health and well-being.

The complaint stems from an investigation into the Rollins campaign which included promises that the “default” determination will be to not prosecute the following crimes despite the fact that each of these codified crimes were lawfully enacted by the Massachusetts legislature: Trespassing; Shoplifting (including offenses that are essentially shoplifting but charged as larceny); Larceny under $250; Disorderly conduct; Disturbing the peace; Receiving stolen property; Minor driving offenses, including operating with a suspend or revoked license; Breaking and entering — where it is into a vacant property or where it is for the purpose of sleeping or seeking refuge from the cold and there is no actual damage to property; Wanton or malicious destruction of property; Threats – excluding domestic violence; Minor in possession of alcohol; Drug possession; Drug possession with intent to distribute; and certain resisting arrest charges.

Baltimore Dubbed 'Most Robbed' City In America  https://www.zerohedg...ed-city-america

The outlook for Baltimore is rather bleak. We have covered the great implosion of Baltimore over the years. The accelerated deterioration restarted after 2015 Baltimore riots. Ever since, the slope of decline has been far steeper than ever seen before.

Baltimore had the most significant number of robberies per capita - 95.87 for every 10,000 people.

At least no cops died after Cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxx let Jussie Smollett walk.

The same cannot be said of her office’s treatment of the case of Dan Davies. Davies, a habitual offender with decades of citations for driving without a license and drunk driving, including multiple forfeitures of bond when he failed to obey the conditions of his release.   https://www.american...foxxs_sins.html

Kim Foxx’s office decided to let Davies out on bond one more time, despite the fact that he was facing six felony counts of drunk driving. It was his last such release, however, because this time Davis drove the wrong way on Interstate 294 and crashed head-on into the patrol car of Illinois State Trooper Gerald Ellis, killing both men.

San Francisco, Los Angeles, & Seattle: 3 Formerly Beautiful West Coast Cities Have Become Hellholes

A former Seattle police officer that was recently interviewed by a reporter from KOMO News  was very honest about the fact that he would never want to raise a family in Seattle because of the hellhole that it has become.  Every night he saw the worst of Seattle firsthand, and he finally felt forced to quit because city officials would not allow him to effectively do his job.

An explosion of homelessness in our major west coast cities has fueled a wave of crime, drugs and human degradation unlike anything we have seen before, and in many cases our law enforcement officials have their hands tied and are literally being prevented from cleaning up the streets.

it is pretty easy to see where Seattle continues to go wrong. A heavy tax burden, regulations that push out businesses, and a power-hungry group of totalitarian sociopaths have been slowly eroding the city. The decay of Western civilization can be seen up and down the entirety of the West coast. Some say it’s by design, others disagree.   https://www.zerohedg...ast-cities-have

But the commonality is that all of the cities are being pushed into poverty by illusions and lies of socialists. Calling Seattle anything other than a leftist’s paradise would be inaccurate. The city has all of the laws the socialists want, yet it’s killing itself because of it.

How thugs get away with dumping water on NYPD cops

Not only have de Blasio and his City Council decriminalized a of quality of life violations in New York City, but de Blasio has instructed police to call off drug raids, not to arrest for low-level crimes in schools, and not to arrest narcotics suspects below age 40 or subway fare evaders — while hooligans who brutally attack NYC police are not even charged (!).  Please also see here and here; it is gruesome.

It is eminently clear that the NYPD officers who were assaulted and humiliated by jeering crowds in Harlem were under orders to be passive and not react.
