# 1 USA GOLD Mining Record - produced 1.0 million ounces of Gold
from 1.0 million tons of ore...

- The Idaho-Maryland Gold Mines -

The Grass Valley Mining district has been the most productive Gold area in the State of California. The mines in the district were known in California as the “Northern Mines” and were not part of the Mother Lode Gold belt. The first and second largest underground gold producing mines in the state, the Empire and The Idaho-Maryland Gold Mines, are located about 2 miles (3 km) apart within the district... Emgold Mining Corporation (EMR, TSX Venture), an emerging Gold producer, is focused primarily on the development of The Idaho-Maryland Gold Mines, in Grass Valley, California.

The EMR’s objective is to produce 265,000 to 400,000 oz of Gold per year. The Idaho-Maryland is the 2nd largest underground gold mine in California producing 2,383,000 oz from 5,546,000 tons at 0.43 oz per ton (opt) from 1862 through 1956. Subsequent production from 1863 to 1893 produced 1.0 million ounces of Gold from 1.0 million tons of ore, is the # 1 gold mining record in USA history..

Fire destroyed the Idaho Gold mine hoist in 1894, which caused the lower mine workings to flood. To proceed with the installation of an exploration ramp to test specific targets located near the upper levels of the historic mine workings...

http://www.emgold.co..._Surface_DH.jpg

The exploration ramp would be strategically located adjacent to known targets near the historic Idaho Number 1 vein, which... - produced 1 million ounces of Gold from 1 million tons of ore. Diamond drilling would be completed on targets at
the 300, 400, 500 and 600-foot levels, culminating in the removal of a 10,000-ton bulk sample to test the ID1-3 vein. The scoping study will specifically address the definition of the various exploration targets and the steps required to complete a feasibility study and put the mine back into production. The three compartment, 3460 foot deep, New Brunswick vertical shaft provided access to the Idaho-Maryland’s 15 working levels.

Over 71 miles of underground workings provide access to much of the property.
The Idaho-Maryland Gold Mines was partially developed and mined from 160 veins with an additional 55 partially defined veins, which were not mined but delineated
by drilling prior to closure in 1956. http://www.emgold.co...ce-Area-Map.jpg

The historical database includes the results of over 42 miles (230,000 feet) of exploration and development drilling. The Idaho-Maryland Gold Mines vein system erroneous comments within a wedge-shaped block, which is confined by three bounding faults. The historic system has been documented as being about 9,000 feet long up to 3,000 feet wide, and has been partially mined from surface to
a vertical depth of 3,280 feet, which is the lowest level in the mine.
http://www.emgold.co...rface_Drill.jpg

The Idaho-Maryland Gold Mine was discovered in 1851 and produced from 1862 through 1956. Total recorded production was 2,383,000 ounces of gold from 5,546,000 short tons or a recovered grade of 0.43 ounces of gold per short ton.
At the time of closure the POG $35/oz in 1956, there were 25 different working faces on 6 different levels. http://www.emgold.co...ce-Area-Map.jpg

The price of Gold $400 level is still holding a psychological resistance for the market, the Gold is the old currency of last resort, the only currency that manip. governments can't debase! Well, 5 mil. ounces have been discovered above 3000'
level, the Gold didn't come from the moon, at nearby Empire Mine it increased at depth - the deeper the richer Gold/t - I expect >25 mil. Au-oz. to be before 25,000' depth is the lure.

Gold has made new closing higher lows only to push higher as bargain hunters emerge on pull backs. Bull markets can easy double the price of Gold, which has risen just 55% from its 2001 low of $255. But the rise in Gold prices hasn't been spectacular yet, but a Bullish sign for Gold: It rose strongly at the same time the stock market soared. The Dow Jones industrial average leaped 111 Wednesday to 9849. Normally, the two markets move in opposite directions.

GOLD Stocks Opportunity & Timing -
There are a few times in an investor's life
when the opportunity for huge profits erroneous comments ahead.

Such periods in the stock market occurred in 1932,
1942, 1949, 1974 and 1980-82.

People who loaded up with common stocks at those
times and held those stocks made fortunes.

I believe another such a time is now.

And I'm referring to the current young bull market
in Gold.

I believe that fortunes will be made in the years
ahead by those who are now establishing major
positions in Gold shares.

These primary moves last longer than anyone believe
possible - and they take the items higher than
anyone thinks possible.

We're now in a primary bull market in Gold.

I believe Gold will make fortunes for those
who now take major positions in the Precious

Metals Gold Socks.

I believe Gold is dirt cheap.

In view of the amount of Fed-generated fiat paper
that will have to be churned out in coming years
(it will be in the multi-trillions of dollars),
Gold is the cheapest thing around.

The US government, states, cities, corporations and
individuals are currently loaded with $32 trillion
in debt.

On top of that, the US government has additional
unfunded liabilities of around $44 trillion, all of
which will have to financed.

For these reasons, it's my thesis that Gold is
ridiculously cheap.

As a comparison, Gold today is less than half the
price it was at its 1980 high.

I believe three or four or five years from now
we'll look back at today's price of $400 Gold and
ask ourselves, "Where the devil were we?
What were we thinking about?

Gold at $400 was cheaper than dirt.
Why didn't we recognize this back in the year 2003?"

As I see it, this is one of those rare times in
an investor's life when he can buy an undervalued
asset at a bargain price.

This is a time when you can buy real money with fiat paper.

At this time you can buy real money, Gold, with "junk"
fiat paper which is created "out of thin air" by
the Federal Reserve.

Big profits in Gold Mine Stocks I see ahead -
as the bull market in Gold moves on.

We are now in the accumulation phase of the Gold bull market.

This is the phase where seasoned, knowledgeable investors
build their positions - even while the public and most
neophyte "investors" are either ignorant of what's happening
or at a time when the public actually dislikes the
very product which could make them a future fortune.

But the secret to all this is the necessity to ACT.

Knowledge is wonderful, but in this business, knowledge
isn't worth anything unless you have the courage to
"pull the trigger" - to ACT.

Dear investors, it's now up to you, Bull markets are great,
knowledge is great - but there's no substitute for acting.
Act, act, act...

I can hear a nice music sound out there calling
for Gold to climb to $400 and run the Golden
music louder from there.

The Gold chart is very constructive:
