Nice with the ROC. I run it a various speeds and various moving averages, which is where the information really is. Excellent tool, and it can be "tuned" for different time frames and issues.

mss Good charts, thanks for posting. That 10roc of 200ema really cool. Looks like good bull market / bear market indicator. Do you have any comments re the behavior / implications of this indicator? I see you have drawn trend lines on tops, put in 1.00 line, etc.. Say, for example, it might get you on the right side of the trade long before any 200ema is crossed by some other MA or price line? thanks TM

The "gold" trend line is used to give a quick view of the LT trend. I move it every time there is a reason to if it improves the "picture. The "1.0 line" is the break-even point on the ratio. Above is positive, below is negative. The distance above or below is the momentum trend. Above and falling, getting weaker etc. Does a great job of suggesting price/internal divergence. I trade based on cross overs of the 5/21emas, 8/34emas, and the cross of the 21/34emas. Due to clutter I will only show the 8/34emas.
Attached is a sample chart of how they might be used.

Hope this answers some of the questions you had. Thanks for comments, they are always welcome.

MSS, Thanks for further explanation. Nice Stuff. I might be able to incorporate some of these things into my own approaches. I like the 1.0 line and the displacement therefrom. Says a lot with a little. Best TM
