Hi everyone, according to an article from wnho.net by Dr. Betty Martini entitled "FDA'S NASTY PROPOSAL FOR "MYSTERY MILK" (AND ASPARTAME) FOR ICE CREAM," "Enclosed is our Nov 2005 issue. We're hitting hard on the FDA proposal that would change ice cream standards. FDA, following the ice cream manufacturers' lobby, wants to put "milk from species other than cows" in our ice cream. Also, FDA has nebulous language in the proposal by which the agency hopes to defuse the Aspartame/NutraSweet advisory label on the front panel of the package."

The article warns, "Objection #5: Regs would subvert aspartame/NutraSweet Labeling FDA's proposed ice cream regulations would apparently do away with rules that now require notice to consumers on the front panel of a food product that the product contains Aspartame/NutraSweet. That artificial sweetener, a neurological toxin, is one of the most controversial food additive issues in the history of U.S. food safety regulations. A growing number of consumers avoid products with Aspartame/NutraSweet. Consumption of ice cream and other frozen desserts could be harmed, if current Aspartame labeling rulees are disguised."

The article states, "1) A proposal to substitute other species' milks - such as from goats, sheep, water buffalo and yaks - is pure consumer fraud. Many instances of ice cream consumption - such as away from home - have no way to provide consumers with specific information about whether their ice cream contains ingredients which they would find objectionable. Thus, if consumers were dining out and wanted ice cream, they would have no way to determine of other species' milk was contained in their dessert."

The article advises, "Remember there has been new studies on aspartame showing that it causes malignant brain tumors, leukemia, lymphoma, kidney cancer, cancer of the cranial peripheral nerves, and is a multipotential carcinogen. http://www.wnho.net/...ame_studies.htm Dr. Russell Blaylock author of Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills, http://www.russellblaylockmd.com says mothers should be terrified. This study shows these cancers are dose related. And the history of aspartame shows that the FDA has always known aspartame is a carcinogen and has done nothing about it. http://www.wnho.net/whopper.htm Also read: http://www.wnho.net/...e_for_death.htm They ought to call the FDA the Food and Death Association because aspartame has caused millions of deaths the world over from the tumors, degenerative diseases, and other horrors triggered by this deadly neurotoxin. Look what its done to our children in triggering all types of birth defects, ADD, ADHD, autism, Tourettes, mental retardation you name it. The FDA is responsible for unsafe food and drugs the world over because aspartame has been rubber stamped around the globe because of them."

Have a nice day. :)

Thanks for your post.

Quote from former FDA Commissioner, Herbert Lay, M.D. -

"The thing that bugs me is that people think the FDA is protecting them. It isn't. What the FDA is doing and what people think they are doing are as different as night and day."

.... ooooooooooh, don't get me really started.

But, if I want good, healthy cheese made from unpasturized milk, I can't get it thanks to the FDA. Has anyone gotten sick from unpasturized milk? Maybe. Anyone ever get sick from aspertame? Yup. And sugar and fat and pretty much everything. I actually have to do a black market purchase when I want unpasturized cream (which I do). The difference, btw, is night and day. It's as complex as any unadulterated food item I can think of. M

Eat WHOLE (not ground up, mixed, blended) foods, whenever possible, and if you MUST buy packaged and /or processed foods, then READ THE LABEL. At least be aware of what you're consuming.
